Key Milestones

1985 – Warringah Mall 24 Hour Medical Centre opened by Dr Bateman in Brookvale

1989 – Day surgery opened in Warringah Mall 24 Hour Medical Centre

1990 –The second Primary Medical Centre opened - Chatswood Medical and Dental Centre

1996 – Primary’s third medical centre opened 

1998 – Listed on Australian Securities Exchange with market capitalisation of $50 million

1999 – Primary Health Care purchased Sydney Diagnostic Services– 3rd largest pathology provider in NSW at the time

2002 – First regional centre opened in Dubbo, NSW

2003 – First centre outside of NSW opened in Elizabeth, South Australia

2005 – Purchased Health Communications Network a program used by over 60 percent of GP surgeries

2008 – Primary acquires Symbion Ltd

2009 – Consolidation of Primary and Symbion refurbishes and upgrades pathology laboratories and imaging sites and equipment

2010 – 54th large scale medical centre opened

2014 – Primary’s first IVF clinic opened in Sydney

2015 – Opened Bridge Road Imaging in Melbourne

2016 – Launched Kossard Dermatopathology

April 2016 – Opened a consolidated head office in Sydney

November 2016 - Primary IVF opened a third clinic in Brisbane, QLD

February 2017 – Opened Corrimal Medical and Dental Centre in Corrimal, NSW
